LignoValue Pilot Plant delivers depolymerized lignin for LEGACY Project, paving the way for biobased epoxy resins
The LignoValue Pilot Plant of Biorizon co-initiator VITO is the first pilot line in Europe to depolymerize lignin and convert it to bio-aromatics. The plant is fully operational and delivers lignin-based materials for development of innovative bio-based products like epoxy resins.

Developed through the Interreg BIO-CAPPP project, these furfural-derived plasticizers are the result of an agile development approach that combines TNO's expertise in furfural platform technology with the specialized knowledge of Avans/MNEXT and Centexbel in biobased plastics and textile coating.
