Call for Participation: Bio-HHPA drop-in

Call for Participation: Bio-HHPA drop-in

Biorizon co-initiator TNO is looking for partners that are interested in the development of biobased hexahydro phthalic anhydride drop-in molecules: a key feedstock for plasticizers and diverse resins. The envisioned project will be aimed at the scale up of biobased HHPA production and will contribute to the development of a sustainable chemical industry and lowering the CO2-footprint.

Biorizon co-initiator TNO is the initiator of the envisioned project and is currently busy with the formation of a consortium and the search for additional funding.

Call for Partners

We are looking for the following partners:

  • Chemical intermediate manufacturers that are preferably already active in the HHPA market and would like to collaborate on technology development and the production of biobased HHPA;
  • Resin, coating and paint manufacturers who are committed to a sustainable chemical industry and want to contribute to the pioneering development of biobased HHPA.
  • Other relevant partners like RTO’s or public entities that contribute to technology development.

The pathway that will be developed within the envisioned Bio-based HHPA project has the potential to become the most cost-efficient route towards bio-based HHPA. Partners of this project will have the opportunity to be involved from an early stage of this promising research, including the benefits of sharing knowledge and being at the forefront of application and commercial developments.

Participation is open to diversified mix organizations (RTO’s, public entities, private companies (industrial partners and SMEs), NGOs.Depending on the type of involvement, contribution per partner is expected to range from €25k-€50k in cash and €25k-€50k in kind.
