Biorizon well on the way to the development of biobased aromatics
Forty percent of all raw materials in the chemical industry are based on aromatics, which have so far been extracted from petroleum. Commercial production of biobased aromatics would be a major breakthrough. Biorizon has managed to produce biobased aromatics on ‘laboratory scale’, and this is now being scaled up.

Bio Innovation Growth megaCluster BIG-C launched
This morning, 10 leading public-private organisations in biobased innovation of North Rhein Westphalia, The Netherlands and Flanders launched BIG-C as the integrating organisation for current and future biobased initiatives. The event was attended by over 150 industrialists, scientists and politicians from this region.
